For most riders buying a Sena in 2026, the choice comes down to three models. The 60S EVO ($459) is the best all-rounder, the 50S (about $340) is the value Mesh pick, and the 5R (about $125) is the budget choice for talking to one passenger. The 60X is Sena’s flagship, while older models like the 30K, 20S EVO, 10S and 5S are now closeout deals. The chart below compares every Sena intercom side by side.

This comparison is research-based. Specs come from Sena’s own product pages and US prices from major retailers, checked in November 2026. Where Sena’s pages contradict themselves, we’ve noted it. Closeout prices change quickly, so check the current price before buying.

Which Sena should you buy?
- Group rides with a big group: any Mesh model. The 60S EVO has the best audio and battery; the 50S does the same group job for about $120 less.
- Low-profile look: the 50R, or a Spider on closeout if you never need Bluetooth intercom.
- Rider and passenger only: the 5R. It talks to one other Sena over Bluetooth and has the longest battery life of any Sena at 36 hours.
- Talking to riders with other brands: a Bluetooth model with Universal Intercom, such as the 10S, or any model using Sena’s app-based Wave intercom over your phone’s data connection.
- Best tech regardless of price: the 60X adds a joystick, programmable buttons and Qi wireless charging in a lighter 58 g unit.
Popular Sena matchups
Sena 10S vs 20S EVO vs 30K
These three were Sena’s core range before Mesh took over, and all are now closeout deals. The 10S is the simple Bluetooth choice for two to four riders. The 20S EVO adds a longer 2 km Bluetooth range and up to eight riders, but it’s Bluetooth 4.1 and no longer gets new features. The 30K adds Mesh for groups of up to 24, but it’s been replaced by the 50S, which is now usually cheaper than a 30K was and has better audio and Wave support. In 2026, only buy a 10S, 20S EVO or 30K if the closeout price is well below a new 50S or 5R. Full details: Sena 10S vs 30K and Sena 30K vs 20S EVO.
Sena 30K vs SMH10
The SMH10 is the original Sena that made helmet intercoms mainstream: Bluetooth only, 900 m range and 12 hours of talk time. The 30K is a generation newer with Mesh, longer range and more riders. Neither is a good buy at full price today. If you still run an SMH10, any current Sena with Universal Intercom or Bluetooth pairing can usually connect to it as a two-way link.
Sena 50S vs 50R
Same Mesh, same group size and Harman Kardon audio. The 50S uses a jog dial and has slightly longer talk time, while the 50R is a slimmer, low-profile unit with three buttons. See our Sena 50S vs 50R comparison.
Sena 50S vs 60S and 60S EVO
The 60-series adds Bluetooth 5.3, IPX7 waterproofing, a magnetic mount, faster 1.5-hour charging and much longer battery life. The EVO adds Bose audio and a limited lifetime warranty. See Sena 50S vs 60S and our Sena 60S EVO review.
Which Sena models work together?
- Mesh 2.0 and 3.0: the 60X, 60S EVO and 60S support both. To join a group of older Mesh 2.0 units such as the 50S, 50R, 30K or Spider, switch to Mesh 2.0 in the Sena Motorcycles app; Sena support notes mixed 2.0 and 3.0 groups can drop connections.
- Bluetooth intercom between Sena units: the 60-series, 50-series, 30K, 20S EVO, 10S, SF4, 5S and 5R all pair over Bluetooth. The 5S and 5R are limited to one other rider. The Spider ST1 and RT1 are Mesh-only, with no Bluetooth intercom.
- Bluetooth-only Senas in a Mesh group: Sena’s +Mesh and MeshOn adapters let older Bluetooth headsets join a Mesh group.
- Other brands: Universal Intercom on models like the 10S and SMH10 pairs with many non-Sena headsets over Bluetooth. Wave intercom works with anyone who has the Sena app, regardless of headset. Sena and Cardo Mesh systems don’t connect to each other; see Cardo vs Sena.
New and upcoming Sena models
Sena has also added the Spider X Slim (about $299), the budget Vortex (about $189) and the MeshOn adapter (about $129) to its 2026 range. We’ll add them to this chart as full specs are confirmed. For alternatives from other brands, see our best Sena alternatives and best motorcycle intercoms.
