Who runs Throttle Buff
Throttle Buff is run by Vipul Gorka, a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast based in New Zealand. Vipul has been riding since childhood: his first bike was a Yamaha R15, followed by a KTM Duke, and these days he drives a BMW 420i. That background shapes what the site covers: the questions riders really ask when choosing a helmet, an intercom or a piece of riding gear, answered plainly.
Vipul writes and updates the guides, checks every spec against the manufacturer’s own pages and keeps older articles current as products change.
How we research
We are a research-based publication. Unless an article says otherwise, we have not lab-tested or ridden with the products we cover, and we never claim we have. Instead, every recommendation is built from:
- Manufacturer specifications and fitment data
- Safety standards and certifications such as DOT FMVSS 218, ECE 22.06 and Snell
- Owner reviews and long-term feedback from riders
- Price, availability and warranty terms at major retailers
